Abstract

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are rare in children. Clinical symptoms include hematemesis, anemia and fatigue. They have malignant potential with unpredictable behavior. They are associated with high risk of local recurrence. Gastric location of GISTs is most commonly associated with other neoplasms. We report a rare case of recurrent gastrointestinal stromal tumor of the stomach associated with benign ovarian fibroma. This casual relationship of this association is unknown and remains to be investigated. Increased awareness of such association is important for early diagnosis and treatment.
