Abstract
Increasingly demanding performance standards and operating requirements are driving the growing interest on multi-field coupling technologies in gear transmission systems. Optimized factors of gear multi-field coupling technology are necessary to meet the high-speed and heavy-load capacity requirements of the gear transmission system and solve the problem of gear failure under high-speed and heavy-load working conditions. Numerous theoretical and experimental studies have been dedicated to gear multi-field coupling, especially on gear accurate modeling method and multi-field coupling simulation analysis method. The accurate model of the gear can provide a model basis for the thermal–fluid–solid multi-field coupled numerical simulation. The choice of gear multi-field coupling simulation method is the way to realize gear multi-field coupling simulation. In order to compile and categorize key investigations in an expansive field with substantial recent research, this work reviews factors of gear multi-field coupling simulation papers with focus on gear accurate modeling method and multi-field coupling simulation analysis method.
