Abstract
Multiferroic ceramics, (1−x)BiFeO3-xBa(Fe1/2Nb1/2)O3 (BF-xBaFN), with x ranging from 0.1 to 0.6, were prepared by conventional mixed oxide method. X-ray diffraction analyses indicates a rhombohedral distorted perovskite structure (R3c space group) of BiFeO3 for x=0.1 and cubic-like perovskite structure for x=0.2–0.6. Significant magnetic enhancements were discovered in the BF-xBaFN ceramics. Ferromagnetic loops revealed the maximum remanent magnetization of 1.61emu/g of BF-xBaFN with x=0.25.
