Abstract

Faculty members in a teacher education program serve many roles, in addition to the most obvious role of preparing the next generation of classroom teachers. These roles can be undertaken in ways that support and enhance each other in multifaceted ways. This is the case at Salisbury University, where the coordinating varied professional activities are undertaken within the context of an extensive and collaborative Regional Professional Development School network. Key attributes of these activities can be illustrated with a specific professional development project; in this case, Project ECLIPSE, which was designed to support, among other things, STEM education.
