Abstract

games. By concentrating three-quarters of the book on the mathematically clean two person zero-sum games, there is no room to discuss some of the newer interesting concepts in n-person games like nucleolus and kernels. It is also a pity that there are not more examples of game theory in action, or any mention of the interesting extensions of game theory such as stochastic games, meta games and hypergames, all of which intro? duce new ways of looking at games, but require no sophisticated mathematical under? standing. However, these are all personal preferences and the general impression is of a well-written book (despite the Prisoners' Dilemma becoming the D. A. suspects), which is a useful addition to the literature.
