Abstract

Studies on seawater quality played an important role on evaluation of marine eutrophication and prediction of marine algal blooms. General studies usually evaluated water quality based on statistical methods and artificial intelligence ways, which were short at dealing with complex marine data. In this study, we presented a way to evaluate seawater quality through calculating differences of water quality between different areas and constructing monitored areas network, developed a multidimensional analysis method for dealing with seawater quality data based on graph OLAP (Online Analyzing and Processing). Our study showed that graph OLAP was an effective way to deal with complex marine data, and WDT (water quality distance threshold) was a helpful characteristic for evaluating marine eutrophication and predicting marine algal blooms.
