Multiculturalism as an integral part of the cultural policy of Azerbaijan

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the problem of multiculturalism in cultural policy. Кnown, theMuslim civilization is a problem in the rational monoculture of the West, where it forms a multiculturalsociety. The tolerance of the West, the formation of an environment for intercultural and interreligiousdialogue, democratic cultural policy are the main factors in the emergence of a multicultural society. Asknown, among the economic, legislative and conceptual indicators of cultural policy the aspect of philosophicalvalue is included in the content of the latter. There are liberal, enlightening, state-bureaucratic,market models, as well as a model of ethnic freedom of cultural politics. The aim of the study is tomulticulturalism as an integral part of cultural policy based on Azerbaijani materials. The main researchmethods are interdisciplinary, comparative and systematic approach, axiological and normative methods.The method of interdisciplinary approach allows you to determine the cultural and philosophicalboundaries of the study of the subject. In the sociocultural reality of Azerbaijan, multiculturalism acts asa methodological theory, experience and ideology of cultural policy as a philosophical category. Oneof the main directions of cultural policy in Azerbaijan is the provision of a cultural and multiculturallifestyle in the country, integration into the world cultural space, the development of intercultural relations,protection of national and spiritual heritage. Azerbaijan is based on the idea of multiculturalism asa key paradigm in the development of its cultural policy. The state plays a decisive role in the formationof a single cultural space in the country and in the implementation of cultural policy. This leads to thestrengthening and stabilization of society. The article states that, in democratic societies, multiculturalismas a cultural phenomenon occupies a leading place in cultural policy, and in this sense, nationalconcepts of cultural policy are based on the achievements of social and political sciences, especiallymodern social philosophy.Key words: cultural policy, concept of culture, Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism, philosophy of dialogue.
