Abstract

Government awareness of environmental issue is on the increase, therefore some manufacturers of textile industry initiate to apply Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) in the process of selecting and evaluating green suppliers. The green supplier selection process is formulated as a multi-criteria decision making problem consisting of traditional and environment-friendly criteria. In often time, green supplier selection problem is complicated as benefit-cost criteria and quantitative-qualitative assessment with certain and uncertain data are implemented successively. To solve the problems, this research proposes Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach using the Fuzzy Axiomatic Design (FAD) method in the process of selecting and evaluating green suppliers in textile industry. The results of this research help companies to establish a method to selecting the accurate green suppliers, evaluating each alternative suppliers, able to defending company requirements, dealing with benefit-cost criteria and quantitative-qualitative assessment with certain and uncertain data with high objectivity.
