Abstract

The autoionization a and b parameters as functions of ejected electron angle have been calculated for the helium (2s 2)1 S, (2s2p)l P and (2p 2)1 D resonances in the coplanar nonsymmetric (e,2e) reaction at the incoming electron energy/scattering angle of 400eV/16°, 200eV/13° and 100eV/13°. Multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock calculations of the resonances as well as of the helium ground state have been performed. Distorted wave Born approximation with exchange has been used for the (e,2e) cross-section calculation with distorted waves being calculated in the Hartree-Fock field of the helium neutral atom or positive ion. Calculated parameters agree well with experimental 400eV/16° data whereas only a qualitative resemblance exists for 200eV/13° and 100eV/13° kinematics.
