Abstract

Using the multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock method dipole oscillator strengths were calculated in the B isoelectronic sequence for the ions; B I, C II, N III, O IV, Ne VI, MG VIII and Si X. The region between B I and C II where the energies of the two states 2s2p2 2S and 2s 23s2S are crossing was investigated in greater detail considering also non-integer values of the nuclear charge. The influence of corelation effects and spin-orbit interaction is discussed.
