Abstract
P185 MULTICOMPONENT SEISMIC MONITORING OF A MISCIBLE CO2 FLOOD WEYBURN FIELD CANADA Abstract 1 High-resolution time-lapse (4-D) multicomponent (9-C) seismic data has been successfully acquired processed and interpreted for monitoring a tertiary oil recovery project. The project involves a miscible CO2 flood in the fractured Midale carbonate reservoir of Weyburn field in Saskatchewan Canada. P-wave and s-wave seismic data analyses has provided 4-D seismic images of the CO2 flood as it has progressed through the reservoir. Integration of the analyses demonstrates the ability to differentiate the fluids in both the matrix and fracture systems of the reservoir and to monitor
