Abstract
In this letter, we propose a novel multicode interference (MCI) canceller associated with orthogonal code multiplexing that achieves much higher peak throughput than 2 Mb/s high-speed packet transmission in the 3G high-speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) systems. The canceller makes use of chip equalization (CE) and turbo product code (TPC) decoding to get the initial interference replica, which improves the performance of the HSDPA systems. Computer simulations show that the novel canceller significantly outperforms the conventional Rake, LMMSE equalizer and MCI canceller in the severe distortion channel.
