Abstract

AbstractAiming at the complex and difficult problem of multi-branch cable harness layout optimization, a mathematical model of multi-branch cable layout optimization problem is established based on Steiner tree theory. A path search method based on Theta* algorithm is proposed to improve the smoothness of cable harness routing. Then a pattern search improved particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed for the multi-branch cable layout optimization problem. The strong local search ability of pattern search algorithm is used to provide better optimization direction for the particle’s population. Finally, the example of a routing requirement for an aircraft cabin shows that the proposed method has good optimization ability.KeywordsCable harness layoutParticle swarm optimizationPattern searchTheta* algorithm
