Abstract

We consider multiband effects on the superconductivity in the alkali-doped fullerenes. It is shown that the multiband superconducting gap is reduced to the well-known Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer expression due to a cyclic symmetry in the orientationally ordered phases, thereby justifying many previous works assuming single-band s-wave pairing without considering several conduction bands explicitly.
