Abstract
This paper presents multi-band printed inverted-F antennas (PIFAs) suitable for wireless communications. The multi-band behavior is achieved by combining printed radiators with CPW-fed PIFA. By controlling the via location and the radiators lengths, the proposed antennas may have either wide band or multi-band behavior. The proposed antennas possess also the properties of good performance, compact size, low profile, and low cost. Hence, they are suitable for implementation in wireless applications.
