Abstract

In this paper a low voltage DC micro grid is modelled with different voltage amplitude values operating different types of loads. Analysis is carried out on the stabilization of the DC link voltage for disturbances in the grid system. Different renewable sources are connected to the DC link to ensure consumption of power from these sources as priority by the loads. The renewable sources considered are PVA and wind, with a conventional source operating as a back-up power supply during failure of renewable sources. A DC-DC Zeta converter is used to maintain the DC link voltage controlled by voltage-oriented control. The simulation and modelling are carried out in a MATLAB Simulink GUI environment with graphs generated with respect to time.
