This study reports on a systematic investigation of the multi-scale hierarchical arrangements in/of the Sepia melanin nanospheres using ultrahigh resolution transmission electron microscopy combined with transmission and scanning electron microscopies. The morphological dynamic of the ▪nm in average diameter melanin nanoparticles seem to be governed by self-assembly phenomenon before and after their final growth stages.
