Abstract

This paper presents the multi-response optimization of Electrical discharge machining process parameters for Aluminium hybrid composites by Taguchi based Grey Relational Analysis (GRA). The objective of this paper is to investigate the optimal parametric combination of process parameters in which it yields maximum material removal rate, minimum surface roughness and tool wear rate. The experiments are conducted by the Taguchi L27 orthogonal array Design of experiments. The stir casting technique is implemented to construct specimens of Aluminium hybrid composites. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is carried out to find the individual effect of process parameter on the output responses. Confirmation test is carried out for validating the experimental results.
