Abstract

The corrugated plate dryer plays an important role in the field of steam-water separation, and its operating parameters and structure parameters have a great influence on the separation efficiency and pressure drop of the corrugated plate dryer. Therefore, the optimization analysis of the operating parameters and structure parameters of the dryer is of great significance on the field of steam-water separation. In this paper, response surface method (RSM) and non-dominant sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-Ⅱ) are used to optimize the operating parameters and structure parameters of the dryer. Models of pressure drop and separation efficiency are obtained which can accurately predict the change trend of the objective function and the critical velocity of re-entrainment. The study found when the inlet humidity and the plate-to-plate spacing are 8 % and 14.6 mm, the inlet velocity of 7.58 m/s not only minimizes the pressure drop, but also meets the requirement of outlet humidity below 0.1 %.
