Abstract
ABSTRACT Over a 3-year period, intercropping and two mulching (ley clipping, bark) treatments in carrots were evaluated in three areas in Sweden in an effort to establish a reliable method for reducing damage by carrot fly (Psila rosae (F.)) without decreasing yield. The only treatment that clearly and consistently reduced carrot fly damage was intercropping with Medicago litoralis; however, this treatment also led to a reduction in yield.
