Abstract

Women who live in big cities are still closely involved in work concerning essential conditions for survival. Beyond our involvement in the essential work of caring for others -which is imposed on us by the patriarchal system- we are also very present in public spaces related to “the good life” i.e. health care, education, social relationships, nutrition, etc. Our manner of participating in communities involves care ethics, collective production or cooperative problem-solving. These are matters that need to be valued and extended in any society seeking to be more equal, antipatriarchal and sustainable.
