Abstract

The application of MUCROMAF and MUCROER polynomials in digital filter design is studied. The coefficient sensitivities and attenuation of these MUCRO filters are compared with classical Butterworth and Chebyshev filters. A simple figure of merit introduced in the text suggests that especially high-order MUCROER filters have good sensitivity properties. Some practical digital filters are designed using MUCRO polynomials. The examples are in agreement with the theoretical results.
