Abstract

F b ucoceles are common lesions of the oral cavity. hey are frequently seen in children and affect the ower lip in 60% of the reported cases. Mucocele ften occurs following trauma, such as lip biting, to minor salivary gland. Traditional management of his lesion is excision with the associated overlying ucosa. We are presenting an alternative surgical pproach with mucosal sparing using a carbon dixide (CO2) laser.
