Abstract

The authors report the case of a giant concha bullosa in a 16 years old patient, referred to our department for chronic nasal obstruction, right purulent nasal discharge, recently intensified headache. After clinical examination of the patient, nasal endoscopy and CT scan, a diagnosis of concha bullosa with accompanying pansinusitis was made; the management in this case was surgical – FESS (functional endoscopic sinus surgery) under general anesthesia, with good postoperative outcome.
