Abstract

Mucilage Cells Responsible For The Production Of Great Quantities Of Mucilaginous Substances Are Present In All Aerial Parts Of Lavatera Cretica. They Are Present In The Plant From The Very First Stages Of Development Of The Various Organs. At The End Of Differentiation, The Organs Are Completely Full Of Mucilage. The Mucilage Cells Have Variable Form and Sizes Depending On The Organ In Which They Are Found; Adjacent Mucilage Cells Sometimes Fuse Together Forming Large Cavities.
