'IT MIGHT seem a cliché,' says Jim Marr, 'but I felt I could make a difference in care of older people. Back in the 1970s and 1980s dementia care in particular was not high on the agenda. People were nursed on these old long-stay wards, with a bed, a chair, a locker and not much else, and I wanted to help change this,' he says.
