Abstract

Abstract A new three-dimensional microporous fluorogallophosphate, named Mu-17, was obtained by hydrothermal synthesis in the presence of 3-(2-aminoethylamino)propylamine as organic template, using the fluoride route. Its structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The symmetry is triclinic, space group P 1 , with the following unit cell parameters: a=10.283(11) A; b=12.096(12) A; c=16.91(2) A; α=76.07(11)°; β=72.38(7)° and γ=65.20(7)°. The structure results from the connection of chains, built from [4461] small cage-like building units. The resulting framework displays a one dimensional channel system delimited by a non planar 12MR opening in the a direction, occluding the protonated amine. This material was characterized by XRD, SEM, 13C, 19F and 31P solid state NMR spectroscopy, and also elemental and thermal analyses.
