Abstract

In this paper, the analytic dark soliton solution for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with variable coefficients is investigated with the aid of the bilinear method. M-type dark solitons are demonstrated by analyzing relevant parameters in the obtained solution. The influence of parameters on dark soliton transmission is discussed, and the stable transmission of M-type dark solitons in optical fibers is realized. Results of this paper have certain theoretical significance for the stable transmission of optical solitons in actual optical fiber links.
