Abstract
Os autores tratam neste trabalho, o primeiro da série, das assembléias cenozóicas de foraminíferos obtidos de testemunhos de uma sondagem da Petrobrás perfurada em Caravelas, Estado da Bahia. Neste trabalho são examinados os métodos utilizados e discutidos os parâmetros ecológicos deixando-se para trabalhos subsequentes, as conclusões.
