Abstract

ABSTRACT During the last 10 years, urban storm drainage has been confronted with very radical changes which are partially due to the use of new technologies such as ≪ alternative techniques ≫. Contrary to the traditional sewer network, these techniques are part of urban areas. They are numerous and offer a large amount of possibilities in terms of shape and functioning. At least, they are multifunctional so that they are not only devoted to storm drainage purposes. Consequently, they require competences which are much more widespread than those required for design, construction and management of traditional works. This paper presents a complete multicriteria decision—aiding model and associated tools aiming at helping to choose, design and select alternative strategies.
