Abstract

Due to lacking measurement standards and evaluation system, common measurement cannot evaluate the progressive addition lens. Consider human eye is not only an important biological organ, but also an optical imaging device, the lens-eye combined optical system has been established in this thesis. The distant area, the near area and the progressive corridor of nine progressive addition lenses of different designs are measured, compared and analyzed respectively. The results indicate, several aspects such as MTF value, astigmatism and cut-off frequency of corrected human-eye lens have improved to some degree, but the positive effect of the progressive corridor on imaging quality of human-eye lens does not achieve the target as well as expected, it is justified that lens imaging quality may satisfy people’s daily visual demand when MTF>0.7, MRMS>3.0 at the spatial frequency of 20lp/mm.
