Abstract
Magnetic and quadrupole hyperfine interactions have been determined by Mössbauer spectroscopy of 161Dy in antiferromagnetic Dy 2O 2X ( X = S, Se and Te). Low temperature results are compared with neutron diffraction and optical data, and point charge calculations. Above the Néel temperature quadrupole split spectra are observed.
