Abstract

AbstractThe Mössbauer spectra of six Mn, MgMn, and Mg ferrites had been measured with a transversal and longitudinal external magnetic field. The line shifts make possible the coordination of the internal fields with octahedral and tetrahedral sites and confirm especially the deviations from the Néel model predicted for the MgMn ferrites. From the polarization effects in the longitudinal field we see that existing deviations from the Néel model could be only in the form of opposite directed spins within the sublattices.
