Abstract
The integration of the social networks system (SNS) with the Internet of things (IoT) introduced a new concept as the Social Internet of Things (SIoT). One of the major challenges in SIoT is the continuous mobility of objects that create temporary social relationships. The relationship topology dynamics cause failure in the complete chain of relationships in SIoT and network navigability, and finally, difficulty in service discovery and composition. Social Internet of vehicular (SIoV) and Mobile Social Network (MSN) are other models that are intended to be similar to SIoT but follow a different path in structure and architecture. This article presents a new paradigm that we named it Mobile Social Internet of Things (MSIoT). This concept eliminates the challenges posed by objects' continuous mobility and encompasses SIoT, SIoV, and MSN patterns. Therefore, its expansion leads to the integration of patterns into a common structure and architecture. Since objects in SIoT, SIoV, and MSN have different roles, first, to integrate these concepts, we present a new classification for objects in these structures, and then introduce the new MSIoT paradigm and define two main components, i.e., Mobility Management (MM) and Service Forwarder (SF). We present four new mobility -friendly social relationships that encompass a large portion of possible social interactions. Finally, using a scenario, we examine how the proposed new components and social relationships behave in MSIoT.
