What is Resectable N2 Disease, and What is Unresectable N2 Disease: A Surgeon's Viewpoint Jhingook Kim, MD (Samsung Medical Center, Sungkyunkwan University) The poor prognosis of N2 disease is related to the risk of occult systemic metastasis although N2 disease, by definition, is a localized disease. Therefore, multimodal treatment, including systemically chemotherapy and locally surgery or radiotherapy, is often required. However, the optimal multimodal approaches for N2 disease remain controversial.
