To examine factors that might predict which patients with early ischemic neurologic symptoms are at very high risk for recurrence, researchers prospectively tested the usefulness of early magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for predicting the risk for recurrent events among 120 consecutive patients evaluated at one hospital.
