Abstract

Among patients with vertigo, abnormalities are not always found with neurootological tests, CT and MRI. Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRAngiography) on the vertebrobasilar artery system was performed on 10 cases, and the results were compared with those of 4 healthy volunteers. Good imaging of the blood vessels was seen in the volunteers, however, the 5 vertigo patients showed very poor imaging of the vertebral artery. Therefore, the difference between two groups might have been caused by the presence of vertigo.Further studies are required for the negation of organic disease.
