Abstract
With the advancement of renewable energy and the popularity of electric vehicles, the power system is becoming more likely to operate in extreme situations, making Locational Marginal Price (LMP) vulnerable to various factors. Consequently, assessing the impacts of different factors on LMP is of increasing significance to the secure and economical operation of power system. Based on the real-time market clearing model, namely security constrained economic dispatch (SCED), this paper establishes the explicit relation between real-time LMP and load parameters by solving SCED in a multi-parametric linear programming (MPLP) manner. Furthermore, the factor influence analysis framework with three key indices is proposed to quantify the impacts of load parameters on the LMP, thereby locating sensitive load buses, screening the risk of current electric market operation and providing guidance for safe and economic operation of the system. Numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.
