same typing group with high similarity (more than 97 % similarity) and this distribution corresponded with antibiotic resistance patterns. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings demonstrated that ESBL producing E. coli were increasingly isolated from CAUTI in neurogenic bladder patients over a 4 year period. These strains could be discriminated by rep-PCR typing method using the Diversilab system and those typing results were consistent with antibiotic resistance patterns.
