Abstract

The traditional dogma that bladder lithiasis constitutes an absolute indication for prostatic surgery has recently been questioned. We herein present the results of a prospective comparative study between endoscopic clearance of bladder stones combined either with transurethral prostatectomy or medical treatment for underlying BPH. We focus on important issues, such as patient selection, treatment outcome predictors of failure for conservative management.
