Abstract

While 4-D ultrasound pictures of healthy human urinary bladders (UB) showed uniform contraction properties during micturition, the shortening of the upper and lower parts of UB with outlet obstruction are different. Namely, during voiding only the dome shows strong contraction. An interesting question is how can different parts of the UB have opposite response to the same stimulation.
