Abstract

RC is the standard treatment for invasive or high grade, recurrent, refractory cases of superficial TCC of the bladder. However, it has negative effects on continence, potency and fertility. This is particularly important in young pts. Orthotopic neobladder with nerve sparing resulted in a clear impairment in final QoL. However, even in the most experienced centers, potency rate is no better than 50% with a constant 25-30% of nocturnal incontinence. Our goal was to evaluate the results of our seminal and prostate sparing technique on cancer control, continence, potency and fertility in a selected group of young patients with TCC of the bladder.
