Abstract
Despite the good cure rate reported with TVT, major complications such as, bowel and major blood vessels injuries have been described. To avoid these complications, transobturator approach was developed. The continence rate of this procedure has been similar to those obtained with transvaginal retropubic approach.The study presents the long term follow up of the tendinous urethral support (TUS), an anatomical approach for treating female stress urinary incontinence that consists in placing a mid-urethral tension-free tape anchored to the tendinous arc bilaterally.
