Abstract
The most interesting development in the practice of issues management in the corporate world is the steady extension of the issue purview from micro (company specific) to macro issues. A case-in-point is Allstate Insurance Company's Forum on Public Issues, established in 1987. The forum has involved governmental and corporate leaders in dealing with two major issues, AIDS and LABOR FORCE 2000, with significant results.
