Abstract

This study examined a standards-based physical activity video platform which integrated English language arts and mathematics with physical activity. Participants included five Pre-K4 and five first-grade teachers from five schools across Mississippi with 157 student participants. Data were collected through a mixed methods sequential explanatory approach, using both a smiley face Likert survey and online teacher feedback. Findings revealed that both Pre-K4 and first-grade children expressed greater enjoyment for videos with higher levels of sensorimotor experiences over those with less movement integration, while teachers perceived the calming and less active videos as more impactful from their perspective.
