Abstract

With the rapid development of optical pickup head, dual-axis actuator with better dynamic characteristics grows more and more imperative in DVD and next generation systems. Meanwhile, four-axis actuators have come into being with feature of tracking precisely the disc deviations and tilts. Lens actuator, as the most critical element in optical pickup head, greatly determines the performance of the pickup head. Due to centroid deviation and other causes, any type of actuator, especially multi-axis one, will be disturbed by movement interferences during working process. In order to exactly analyze the characteristics of lens actuator under these unwanted interferences, this paper will firstly propose the study on the multi-axis movement interferences based on the moving differential equations. Aiming at improving performance and precision of lens actuator, many constructive suggestions and methods are also put forward in this paper, which can be verified by typical experiments.
