Abstract

Maintenance of mine haul road generally use motor grader. Maintenance of haul road is needed because the surface of the haul road is designed without asphalt/concrete pavement and heavy loaded vehicles so that it has a short durability. Maintenance is done to keep the haul road in good service performance. Poor haul road performance will impact on increasing production costs and decreasing mine productivity. Differences in quality and traffic density among haul roads requires a systematic maintenance process. The current mine haul road maintenance scheduling is generally only based on the knowledge of operators and field supervisors, and observation of current road conditions, so haul road maintenance has not been run systematically. There is no approach that can be used specifically in scheduling haul road maintenance. This research discuss about Motor Grader Route and Schedule Optimization in Coal Mine Haul Road Maintenance. The optimization model in this study was designed using Bandit algorithm. The solution of the designed optimization model results in delays in haul road maintenance is about 40%–70% better than randomly generated solutions.
