Abstract

This study determined the factors and strategies that motivate the employee of the Commission on Audit Regional Office X. Specifically, it sought to determine the following: profile of the multigenerational employees, factors that motivate the multigenerational workforce and organizational strategies that motivate the multigenerational workforce. Covered in the study were employees of three generations: Baby Boomers, Generation, X and Generation Y. This study used survey questionnaire for data collection. The data were analyzed using frequency count and percentage. Results reveal that the monetary reward is the primary driving force. Employees of the Commission on Audit, regardless of the characteristics, go to work and carry out the duties and responsibilities for money. Other motivational factors include year-end bonus and allowances, which are all monetary. Keywords: Multigenerational Workforce, Motivation, Motivational Strategy, Motivational Factors
