Abstract

The study of Indonesian Migrant Workers in Taiwan is intended to explore how the type of business is being run and reveal of entrepreneurial motivation of women of (PMI) in Taiwan. The research findings show that 34 persen of womenpreneurs PMI in Taiwan run businesses in agriculture, while 18 persen of PMI run businesses in the food and beverage sector. Meanwhile, womenpreneurs PMI in Taiwan who have businesses in online business are 18 persen and the remaining 30 persen of each PMI have various businesses including clothing, retail, handicrafts, workshops, internet cafes, resellers, and investors for businesses owned by other entrepreneurs. In managing their business, as many as 70 persen of PMI entrepreneurs in Taiwan build business partnerships, through profit sharing system with their business partners, and the remaining 30 persen are PMI in Taiwanese women entrepreneurs who run their businesses independently. Entrepreneurial motivation for PMI in Taiwan women entrepreneurs to open a business in Indonesia is mainly influenced by factors of economic support for the family and the environment. PMI in Taiwan Womenpreneurs are also motivated in developing skills for business advancement and instead their motivation for starting a business is because of the desire to be close to family.
