Abstract
Summary The solution for the horizontal and vertical components of displacement of the surface of a homogeneous transversely isotropic half-space excited by a buried impulsive line source has been evaluated on the electronic computer Burroughs 220. The calculation was performed using the elastic parameters of ice, beryl and two isotropic materials whose elastic constants have some relation to those of beryl. Various values of the ratio of the epicentral distance to the depth of source have been considered.
